VVS Laxman gets Padma Sri award

VVS Laxman conferred Padma Sri the country’s fourth highest award. The Central government has declared Padma awards for the year 2010.
Actress Waheeda Rahman, music director Khayyam conferred Padma Bhushan award. Laxman is one of the finest batsmen in test cricket. He is known for pulling off India out of crisis. Laxman’s record against Australia is even spectacular. His batting against Australia in 2001 at Kolkata is one of the top 10 performances in Test cricket.
