Yadagirigutta temple EO suspended

Nalgonda, Feb 13 (INN): Endowment Minister Jupudi Krishna Rao on Sunday directed the Endowment Commissioner to suspend four officials, including the Executive Officer, of Lakshminarayana Temple of Yadagirigutta in Nalgonda district. According to reports, the Endowment Minister issued these directions to the Commissioner after taking a serious note on the poor amenities in the cottages which were provided to devotees at the Lakshminarayana Swamy temple at Yadagirigutta.

The Minister had noticed the poor amenities during his visit to the temple to inaugurate the newly constructed main entrance of the temple. The main entrance has been reconstructed and expanded for facilitating the entry of more number of devotees at a time inside the temple.

After performing special puja under the chairmanship of China Jeeyar Swamiji, the Minister inaugurated the main entrance. He then proceeded to take an inspection tour where he inspected the cottages in the premises of the hill shrine. These cottages provide shelter to visiting devotees.

After seeing the pathetic conditions in the cottages, the Minister expressed his serious displeasure over the Devasthanam Executive Officer Srinivasa Rao, Electrical Engineer Laxman Rao, Sanitation incharge Raghu and civil engineer and sought an explanation from them. Not satisfied with their explanations, Mr Krishna Rao immediately telephoned the Endowment Commissioner and directed him to suspend them immediately from their posts. He also ordered an inquiry.
